Raise3D Premium PVA Filament (Polyvinyl Alcohol) is a helpful tool – water-soluble material for supporting structure of 3D printing.
Generally, PVA is used as the support structure for PLA prints and after the print is done, the part can simply be submerged in a water tank or bath to dissolve the support.
In terms of the compatibility with materials other than PLA, please follow these 2 rules:
- The other material should be hydrophobic, so it won’t be affected when submerging in water.
- The other material should be able to print under low melting temperature and environment temperature, so it won’t affect printing PVA.

PVA (Polyvinyl alcohol) is a cold-water-soluble 3D printing filament with strong adhesion, particularly with PLA, PETG, and TPU filaments. Its strong adhesion makes it an ideal support material for various filaments. Support material is usually necessary for printing models with complex geometry. The PVA support will dissolve in a water bath leaving behind a smooth 3D printed part. Raise3D Premium PVA filament is both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified with better thermal stability, and degradation resistance.
