LD 002R LCD Resin 3D Printer
LD-002R 3D printer is a new product based on LD-002. The molding principle is the same. It adopts the "LCD selective area light transmission principle" molding technology. The LD-002R 3D printer integrates many functional technologies in printing accuracy, printing speed and product functions, and has nine high-end configurations, making the new LD-002R available for more market choices and can be more widely used in denture dentistry and jewelry, animation, and other application scenarios.
Featuring a 2K solid-state display system of 2560x1600 pixels for its masking of the UV light source, it is truly capable of providing 10 times higher precision than FDM 3D printers. LD-002R adopts a much sturdier frame structure with a new ball-type linear module, which is helpful for Z-axis stability, ensuring accurate position during the printing process. To further improve the print quality, the machine supports 4X/8X anti-aliasing that can reduce staircase aesthetic effects on prints, delivering more detailed models. Therefore, LD-002R is quite capable of delivering high-resolution resin 3D prints.
Based on its predecessor LD-002, LD-002R revolutionizes its appearance with an oblique 3.5in color touch screen. Better yet, it utilizes ChiTuBox slicer fast slicing 30Mb STL model files within 1 minute. ChiTuBox allows hollowing out a model before slicing which could save resin dramatically during the photocuring process. With the combination of ChiTuBox, users can also enjoy the function of automatically and manually adding support structures to objects, letting go of problems caused by suction or weak support.

Highlights of LD002R
Great emphasis is being placed on the LD-002R’s robust build quality and the components of its motion system, which is underpinned by a ball screw and single linear rail for the Z-axis.
MSLA(Masked stereolithography) 3D printers use a LCD screen to mask an image of a layer over a UV light source. Comprised of hundreds of thousands of pixels, each a little rectangle itself, this tech leaves a telltale sign of the edges of these pixels on the print surface. Often barely visible, this effect can be lessened through the use of a digital processing called anti-aliasing, which interpolates between these edges, smoothing the effect out.
Quick leveling in the sense that the machine will lower the print plate to the vat for you, yes the LD-002R is quick leveling. Four hex screws feature on the print plate — loosen them before dropping the plate, and it will align to the level of the screen. Tighten and you’re good to go. Standard MSLA fare.
Something of an oddity on a small desktop MSLA machine, the Creality LD-002R 3d printer has a perforated print plate. Typically seen on larger bottom-up machines where larger prints present additional pull that might dislodge an improperly adhered print, it’s unusual, and perhaps even distracting overkill, to see it on a smaller machine. It’s not a bad thing, but it makes you wonder why they did it.
A small box at the rear of the print chamber contains a pouch of activated carbon. This should help to remove part of the stench of exposed resin from the air.

The 3d model slicer Crealtiy recommended for LD-002R is Chitubox.
There are two slicers, choose CHITUBOX Free (Pro is not available).
It has a very simple UI, easy and straight forward to use. After you import the 3D model, build support and change settings as required, then you can slice it and export to USB drive for printing.
